Donald Altman lead us in a discussion on the power of mindful reflection to build focus, expand awareness, and enhance connections. He expertly integrated neuroscience with mindfulness to demonstrate how reflection builds resilience and buffers stress.

Donald Altman, M.A., LPC is a psychotherapist, former Buddhist monk, award-winning writer and international workshop trainer. Profiled in Spirituality & Health’s Living Spiritual Teachers Project and featured in The Mindfulness Movie, Donald was past Vice-President of The Center for Mindful Eating.

 A multi-award-winning writer whose career spans over 30 years, Donald’s newest book is Reflect: Awaken to the Wisdom of the Here and Now. He has also authored several pioneering books on mindful eating and living. Donald has taught thousands of mental health clinicians how to therapeutically use mindfulness interventions. He also leads retreats for mindful living and eating that blend ancient practices with modern science.
