About Me
I offer support to people who want more nourishing relationships. I work with early attachment experiences and traumas in an attuned, gentle, and embodied way to help you re-weave the patterns that are limiting you. I draw upon my experiences of playing with many thousands of children and my extensive and ongoing study in the neuroscience of relationship. In addition, I integrate mindfulness-based movement and biodynamic cranial work in supporting integration and healing. In 1998, I earned a Master's Degree in Somatic Psychology, with an emphasis in Body-Centered Psychotherapy, from Naropa University. I've also deepened my understanding of how the body and mind support each person's unique natural unfolding and development with extensive training in Body-Mind Centering. In 2004, I co-founded the innovative family theater program 'Play after Play.' Since that time, I have performed for and play with over 20,000 children--along with many teens and adults--all of whom taught me that what's truly needed for healing is unconditional attunement and care. Everybody has a story and that story is told through the body. No matter how confusing or frustrating your struggles are today, they are worthy of care. You are here today because you adapted to your particular life experiences and challenges. And you did so heroically. When we can come to welcome, understand, and honor your particular life experiencesa healing path naturally unfolds. I also bring a passion for the sciences to my work. Since 2010, I have been engaged in a personal mentorship with Bonnie Badenoch, PhD, a nationally recognized leader in applying current brain research to helping people heal and transform. In my close work with her I have come to understand that changing deeply engrained patterns is not only possible, but is natural. I bring my own in depth experiences with this to my work with you. I've been through it. In addition I study Biodynamic Cranial Therapy with Todd Jackson, LMT and Biomechanics with Katy Bowman. Basically, I'm what many people call a mind-body nerd. I want to know how the body works and how to best support you to become the person you are, who you've been, and who you're becoming. To learn more visit my website www.nourishingrelationship.com.
