  Relationships delight and enhance us but sometimes we get stuck. When conversations repeat, frustrations increase, and resolution is nowhere to be found, we’re stuck! Working together, you can uncover the desires that drive your frustrations. Those desires become our guide to better ways of making requests and voicing feelings with safety. As we notice that our loved ones are hearing and responding better, resolution is near. Conversations open up, frustrations diminish and inner turmoil quiets. Everyone enjoys more of what they want.    In counseling, we can talk one on one, or with your partner or family. Like a coach from the sidelines, I can see and suggest ways to improve your relationship. What we do together is important but more important is that using your learnings in your daily living. That helps your emotional brain learn better patterns and your life is more fulfilled.   How do love problems come about? From the moment we’re born, our emotional ‘love brain’ desires to connect with others. The challenges during childhood may teach us survival tools that helped us way back then miss the mark in adult loves. Using the latest research from Interpersonal Neurobiology, I can help you retrain your ‘love brain’ for more satisfying connections. I believe in building from the strengths you already possess, include spirituality if appropriate for you.    I've been in practice for 25 years and share the office with my wife, Linda, who is also a therapist. Our dog, Mitz, may join us. The office is conveniently located on Wilshire Blvd. near the Promenade in Santa Monica with easy parking. Appointments are available mostly on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, morning through late evening. My goal is your success.
