About Me

Eric Belstelring, M.A., LPC, LCAS, CSAT, owner of Heart and Soul Recovery, PLLC, is dedicated to expanding the constructs of well-being and wholeness to help clients find greater peace, balance and integration in order to achieve their greatest potential. Eric has been working in the addiction field both personally and professionally, for over 19 years and is passionate about helping people learn to transform their pain and suffering into meaning. He has extensive experience working with substance use disorders, and behavioral addictions (Internet Pornography Addiction Sex and/or love Addiction, Eating disorders with men) and how they interplay with trauma and co-occurring disorders. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). He utilizes Interpersonal Neurobiology’s (IPNB) “9 Domains of Integration,” and is certified to deliver Trauma Focused CBT to children and adolescents through the North Carolina Treatment Collaborative. He has completed EMDR level I, and II from an EMDRIA approved program and he has completed the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Level I training. Lastly, Eric has been consistently practicing a form of meditation for the past 18 years and is committed to assisting clients in tapping their inner resources to transform their suffering into a healthier way of living and being.
