Richard Hill is a practitioner in Sydney, Australia, who began his “education in psychotherapy’ in the creative arts as an actor, writer, singer and performer. His intellectual curiosity inspired him return to university in mid-life. He is now an international lecturer and keynote speaker on the topics of neuroscience and psychosocial genomics, has developed special training courses for suicide prevention, and is the originator of the Curiosity Approach.
He is the author of Choose Hope with Harper Collins; How the “real world’ Is Driving Us Crazy! with Hill & Hill; has written numerous papers and articles as well as several book chapter in association with the Strengths Based Practice International Social Work Group; and The Practitioners Guide to Mirroring Hands co-authored with Ernest Rossi, PhD, a Crown House publication, 2017.
In addition to his duties as President of GAINS, he a select member of the International Psychosocial Genomics Research Group, an Esteemed Member of the International Council of Professional Therapists, on the editorial board of The Neuropsychotherapist Journal and director of the Mindscience Institute. He holds Masters degrees in Arts; Education; and Mind and Brain Sciences.
