About Me

I am clinical psychotherapist in private practice in Sydney, specialising in the treatment of trauma. My work is grounded in Somatic Experiencing and is informed by psycho-dynamic principals, attachment theory and interpersonal neurobiology. I have trained in Post-Advanced Modalities of SE, focusing on attachment theory and shame resolution. I hold a Master of Science degree in Medicine (Psychotherapy), Graduate Diploma of Psychology and a Bachelor in Counselling. My passion is integrating my academic knowledge with the deeply known wisdom of the body, and my own experiences as a practicing psychotherapist over the last ten years. I hve extensive clinical experience, working as the Family Therapist at South Pacific Private (Australia’s leading treatment centre for addictions and mental illness), where I developed skills in running group programs and working with a systemic view in my practice. At the Wesley Eating Disorder Unit, I learnt techniques to help people suffering from acute and chronic eating disorders. At the Aids Council Of NSW, I had the chance to work with the GLBT community to heal trauma, depression, PTSD and other mental health issues. I also worked in Community Settings with disadvantaged families to help facilitate the healing of generational trauma. In addition to being a SEP, I have Brainspotting, EMDR, MATES and Daring Way™ Facilitator training as part of my current skill set. I am also passionate about live music, travelling, dancing and martial arts.
