Department of Education with Kirke Olson

The neurobiology of learning and the neurobiology of connection go hand in hand. Each Quarterly, Kirke Olson, our educational specialist in New Hampshire, writes his Department of Education column, offering examples of how he is using IPNB at a school where the children are challenged by previous struggles to learn and relate. Using everything from the hand model to mirror neurons, he and the staff help these students reconnect to the experience of learning in a positive way. This article appeared in the Autumn 2006 edition of Connections & Reflections.

From Kirke's article...
"This is about connections, those within our brains and those among people. It is a tale of rigidity and chaos moving toward coherence, and it attests to the transformative power of positive energy and information entering a stressed system."
